Kim & Daniel - Destination Wedding Photography in Iceland: A Mesmerizing Journey

As a destination wedding photographer, I eagerly anticipate capturing cherished moments in captivating locations. When the opportunity to photograph a wedding in Iceland arose, I couldn't wait to immerse myself in the astonishing landscapes and natural wonders of this extraordinary country.

Capturing the Enchantment of a Volcano: Fagradalsfjall

My journey began with a visit to the active volcano Fagradalsfjall. Though the volcano was in a resting phase when I arrived, the views of dried lava and the surrounding landscape were still breathtaking and provided a stunning backdrop for my photos.

A Spectacular Setting for a Photo Session: Kleifarvatn

The following day, I had the pleasure of working with a beautiful Icelandic couple, Kim and Daniel, for a photo session at Lake Kleifarvatn. The dark sand, black rock, and narrow road created a truly otherworldly atmosphere, and Kim's gown by Ellen Marie Bridal added a touch of elegance to the photos.

The Beauty of Iceland's Natural Wonders: Krisuvik and Gunnuhver Hot Springs

We also ventured to the geothermal springs of Krisuvik and Gunnuhver, where the colorful soil and blue waters provided a stunning contrast against the harsh terrain. We even had the opportunity to include some friendly horses in the photos.

The Final Touches: Cliffs and Rocks at Rykjanes

For our final shots at golden hour, we drove to Rykjanes, where the cliffs and rocks provided a dramatic and rugged setting. The wind blew through Kim's hair as we captured the final shots of the day.
