Wedding at Holy Trinity Church in St. Andrews, Scotland

I had the pleasure of photographing in one of the most beautiful cities in Scotland again, St. Andrews. This time I came to this wonderful city for the wedding of Sophie and Christopher, who decided to say "I do" in the beautiful Holy Trinity Church. I should also add that my couple currently lives in Munich. Sophie is originally from St. Andrews and that is why she decided to say "I do" in her hometown.

An extraordinary atmosphere at the wedding ceremony at Holy Trinity Church

The Holy Trinity Church is located in the center of the old town. This church is the most historic church in St. Andrews, consecrated in 1234. Its interior is huge and fascinating. The light in there is perfect for photography, which makes the wedding ceremony photos look fantastic. As I mentioned above, the church is very large, which allows me to move around unnoticed and photograph the emotions that were not lacking on this wedding. I should also add that the church is not accessible to tourists during the wedding ceremony, so the wedding ceremony is very intimate.

Celebrating at the fantastic Rufflets Hotel

After the wedding ceremony, I went with Sophie, Christophere, and their families to the beautiful Rufflets Hotel. I was also at this hotel in May of last year and I have beautiful memories from that day. If you want to see pictures from the previous wedding at Rufflets, take a look here. In the meantime, I focused on photographing my couple and their families. Despite the autumn, the weather was great, so we spent time outside before dinner taking group and formal photos.

A golden hour wedding photo shoot in the gardens of Rufflets

After a delicious dinner, Sophie and Christopher and I went to the garden of the Rufflets Hotel for a wedding photo shoot. The gardens of Rufflets are really beautiful. There is a small stream running through them, with a small, beautifully crafted stone bridge over it on which I decided to take a few pictures of my couple. After a few minutes, we went to the parking lot to take a few pictures with the bride's mother's car. The car itself is a classic and it was a pleasure to photograph it. The golden hour, which is the hour before sunset, was perfect for taking romantic and intimate photos of Sophie and Christopher. The light during this time is very warm and soft, which is perfect for wedding photography.

I hope you enjoy the photos from this beautiful wedding at Holy Trinity Church in St. Andrews and the reception at Rufflets Hotel.
