Wedding at Culzean Castle | Destination wedding photography Scotland
You've probably heard about the beautiful Culzean Castel, which belongs to the National Trust for Scotland and is open to tourists, but you probably didn't know that you can organize weddings there.
Culean Castle is situated in Maybole in South Ayrshire and just an hour's drive from Glasgow. It is truly an amazing place and that is why it is considered one of the most beautiful castles in Scotland.
Destination wedding venue for couples
The couple I photographed flew from California to say "I do" in this beautiful place. And you know what they said? "Wow, how green it is here!"and it was true that our Scotland is very green, especially in June compared to sunny California which is orange. Of course, that also has its charm.
Historic interior and lots of exhibits
The interior of this beautiful place is amazing and historical at the same time. We can see a lot of historic paintings and knight's armor.
The bride had her preparations in such a beautiful room overlooking the Scottish bay.
The light in this place is perfect thanks to the large windows.
Wedding ceremony at Camellia house
The wedding ceremony itself took place in the beautiful summer garden of Camellia house, which is located a few hundred meters from the castle. As I wrote, the area of Culzean Park is a very large area, so some places must be reached by Melex.
Camellia house made a great impression on me. Silence, peace and birds singing, which is the perfect place to say "I do".
Camillia House is a small, heavily glazed building, thanks to which, regardless of the weather, your photos will be very well lit.
My couple's wedding ceremony was very peaceful because there were ten people in total. As I wrote above, my couple comes from the US and their wedding was a destination wedding.
Amazing wedding session on the Scottish coast
When it came time for the photo session, which of course I decided to photograph during the golden hour, I was very excited because Culzean Park is a huge area and has a lot to offer. Very friendly staff decided to drive around the Park so that we could take as many wonderful photos as possible.
Starting photos with lush vegetation with a castle in the background and ending with a rocky beach where with a strong wind where the waves were breaking beautifully against the rocks.
If you are looking for an amazing place in Scotland near Glasgow then Culzean Castle is worth recommending.
