The emotions of the special day are still fresh in our minds, so I am excited to share the news with you. My lovely couple recently received their wedding photos, and it was truly a memorable occasion. If you've been following my work, you may recognize the couple as Magdalena and Marek, who I photographed during their engagement session at Loch Lomond two years ago.
The couple chose to say their "I dos" at The Bothy Glasgow, a venue that left a lasting impression on me as a photographer. But let's start from the beginning and relive the wonderful moments of their big day.

Wedding Preparations Four Hours Prior to the Ceremony
Magdalena and Marek perfectly planned out their wedding day. Marek began his preparations in an apartment on Argyle Street, where he and his best man enjoyed some whiskey on the balcony with a stunning view of Glasgow. Meanwhile, Magdalena had her makeup done at the highly recommended Image Studio. I took the opportunity to snap some photos at the studio as well.
A Retro VW Transporter Takes Us to Glasgow's West End
When the bride was all ready, we had to head to The Bothy restaurant, located in Glasgow's West End. Magdalena arranged for a stylish retro car, a VW Transporter, to take us there. I was lucky enough to join them for the ride. While Magdalena sipped champagne with her friends, I captured the special moment with a smile on my face.
The Bothy Restaurant: A Perfect Setting for the Wedding Ceremony and Photo Session
This was my first time at The Bothy, and the venue made a huge impression on me. The restaurant is located on a side street, boasting a beautiful garden. The wedding ceremony took place on the first floor, in a dedicated room with a cozy atmosphere. There was a long table where all the guests could sit, and the happy couple stood in the middle, with a stone wall and a stunning fireplace in the background, beautifully lit by large windows. As a photographer, I couldn't have asked for a more picturesque setting for a wedding.
After the touching ceremony, we took some photos with the retro car in the garden.
Ashton Lane: A Fun and Rocking Atmosphere for Wedding Photos
We spent the rest of the afternoon in the charming Ashton Lane, located just across the street from The Bothy. It was the perfect spot for some creative wedding photos, such as a sparkler shot on Ashton Lane, captured with phone flashlights. The atmosphere was electric as 50 people formed a tunnel for Magdalena and Marek, singing and celebrating their love.
The evening was spent at the Grosvenor Cafe, where the party continued until midnight with hits played by 5 Star Discos.
