Snæfellsnes Elopement _36

It was my first day in Iceland and it was very intense but I know that every day in Iceland is like that.

Klara and Siddy are a wonderful couple that I had the pleasure of photographing during their elopement wedding at Snæfellsnes. I would also like to add that Snæfellsnes is Iceland's eastern peninsula where there are plenty of places that are Iceland's showpieces.

I wanted to use this day as best as possible, that's why we started shooting at 6am, which is blue time.

Black sand beach wedding

We chose Black Sand beach as the first place for a wedding elopement. It is a beautiful black sand beach between black rocks. During the beautiful and dark morning light, I was able to take great pictures in a mysterious atmosphere against the background of the rough ocean. Iceland surprised me at every turn and this beach looked amazing. In Iceland, the weather is very changeable, so the session was alternating between with rain and sun.

Budir black church wedding

The next stop in Iceland was a place that has always been on my wedding map - Budir black church. In my opinion, it is one of the most recognizable places in Iceland. It was there that I decided to spend some time with Siddi and Klara. The church is small and blends beautifully with Icelandic views.

While visiting this place, I did not see that only 500m from Budir black church there is a beach with orange sand. It is a place that looks like it does not belong to Iceland, which is mostly covered with black volcanic sand and rocks.

Wedding photo session with Icelandic horses

Probably every person who gets married in Iceland dreams of having pictures with Icelandic horses. That's why I also decided to do it for Klara and Siddy. During our photo session, we met very friendly horses grazing against the green, clouded Icelandic mountains. Klara and Siddy are two very brave girls who decided to jump over the fence and approach their befriended horses. The photos came out phenomenal and thanks to one shot I received a distinction on one of the largest websites of MYWED wedding photographers.
