Wedding photographer Scotland: Capturing the Beauty of Tulliallan Castle, Alloa

Tulliallan Castle, located in Alloa just 50km from Glasgow, was the stunning setting for Abby and Dave's wedding. Surrounded by beautiful Scottish countryside and a lush forest, the castle provided the perfect backdrop for their special day. As a wedding photographer in Scotland, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to capture the beauty of Tulliallan Castle during the fall season.

A Relaxed and Intimate Wedding Day

I arrived at Tulliallan Castle around 12pm to photograph the details of the venue and to document the preparations of the bride. I was struck by the relaxed and intimate atmosphere of the day. The groom was busy decorating the castle while the bride was getting ready, giving me plenty of time to photograph the details, get to know the castle and plan the wedding photo session.

Inspiration for the Perfect Wedding Dress

As a wedding photographer, I have a passion for capturing the beauty of a bride's dress. At Tulliallan Castle, I was presented with the perfect opportunity to do just that. The castle's large windows provided plenty of natural light and the grand staircase with a large mirror was the perfect background for Abby's delicate dress. I believe that her dress will inspire many future brides.

A Ceremony Filled with Family and Love

The ceremony at Tulliallan Castle was one of the most intimate and heartfelt I have ever had the pleasure to photograph. It was a small, family-oriented ceremony that lasted about 10 minutes. The guests were seated comfortably and listened to speeches while sipping on a cold beer. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I felt like a member of the family.

Golden Hour Photo Session at Tulliallan Castle

The time for the photo session was limited as the wedding took place in late September, when days are shorter. The golden hour began after 6pm. I took Abby and Dave for a 45-minute walk around Tulliallan Castle's gardens. The autumn light was beautiful and the golden hour light created a magical effect. If you have the opportunity to visit Tulliallan Castle's gardens, I highly recommend it as a great spot for photography.

A Perfect Wedding Disco Party

After the photo session, we headed to the dance floor where everyone was eager to let loose after the COVID restrictions. The party lasted until 11pm and featured delicious BBQ dishes served outside. Overall, I had an amazing time capturing Abby and Dave's special day at Tulliallan Castle and it's a venue that I would highly recommend to other couples looking for a unique and beautiful wedding location in Scotland.
