Fairytale wedding at Anvil hall Gretna Green, Scotland

Today we are moving to the Scottish, English border where Derrik married Carolina. Carolina wrote me an email about 4 weeks before the wedding, it turned out that I was available so we discussed the details of the wedding by email.

Preparation of the bride at Dryfesdale Hotel

On June 16, I traveled south to Scotland to the Dryfesdale Hotel - Lockerbie. Dryfesdale Hotel has a great location, it is close to the M6 motorway but being on the spot I heard amazing peace and quiet, all I could hear was the singing of birds and the sounds of lounging cows near the hotel. After meeting Carolina, I knew this day would be great. Carolina turned out to be a smiling positive girl full of energy. After photographing the bride's preparations, details and dress, it was time for the groom. The meeting with Derrik did not last long, the energetic groom was already going to the hall where the wedding was to take place - Anvil Hall in Gretna Green about 20km from Lockerbie. We only got to know and exchange a few words.

Horse-drawn carriage ride to the wedding like in the Cinderella fairytale and unforgettable ceremony

After getting to know the staff and establishing some details, I went to Gretna Green where the first surprise was waiting. In the town off the beaten path Caroline was waiting for a wonderful horse-drawn carriage that took Caroline to the church. Anvil Hall turned out to be a great wedding venue. Beautiful decor, amazing light gave this place an amazing atmosphere.

Celebrating with family at Dryfesdale Hotel

After the wonderful ceremony, the time has come for another surprise - pigeons. When we returned to Dryfesdale Hotel - Lockerbie, the emotions subsided. Coffee break and a delicious meal. Of course, the sense of humor did not leave Carolina and Derrik. They prepared a small show for guests which "Singers Secreto" prepared for them. What do you do when you see a waiter fall with the dishes? Panic? This year a lot of people could be fooled by this Singers Secreto, an amazing surprise for guests... only I and the couple knew about it. The guests' faces cannot be described.
