Wedding at the University of Glasgow: Sophie and Ivan's special day

I had the pleasure of photographing Sophie and Ivan's wedding at the University of Glasgow, a beautiful and historic venue in the heart of Scotland. The couple, who hail from China and Poland respectively, incorporated several Polish accents into their special day, including a traditional Polish dance performance and a Polish wedding cake. The ceremony was held in a grand gothic hall, and the bride arrived in a stunning hand-made dress with a bouquet of Polish lilies of the valley.

Preparations at the Office

Sophie's preparations for the big day took place at her office, an unconventional but unique setting for wedding photography. I was able to capture the excitement and emotion of the morning, as the bride and her bridesmaids got ready with the help of a makeup artist and hairstylist.

Ceremony and Formal Photos

The ceremony at the University of Glasgow was a beautiful and intimate affair, with guests traveling from China, Poland, Estonia, and Mexico to celebrate with the couple. After the exchange of vows, we took a few formal photos in the grand hall before embarking on an hour-long photo session around the city. Sophie and Ivan chose to visit some of their favorite spots in Glasgow, including a bar where they often have breakfast and the library where they often meet up. The couple received congratulations from well-wishers on the street and we were able to capture some candid and playful shots amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.

Festive Dinner and Polish Dance Performance

The evening reception at a local restaurant was a festive and lively affair, with a traditional Polish dance group, "Polonez Bridging Group," providing entertainment for the guests. The couple had a delicious wedding dinner and celebrated with their loved ones into the night. It was a truly memorable and special day, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to document it through my photography.
